Liam Williams and Chris Eubank Jr hurled insults from the book at each other during the start of their showdown. Though Williams had promised he would deliver relentless punishments to the middleweight contender, it was Williams who found himself on the wrong track in a rather one-sided encounter.

Just before the pair officially met in the center of the ring at Motorpoint Arena, UK, the pair refused to shake hands or show any respect before the opening bell.

As their contest began, an aggressive Williams darted forward with his right hand swinging and lap. However, a Eubank Jr. calm and relaxed, took a step back and made a straight stab in the right hand. As a result, Williams fell to the deck.

Seemingly undeterred by what had happened, Williams hurried to his feet and hit Eubank Jr. In the following round, Williams once again dashed forward. He boxed, moved, and hit hard in the mid area. In one of his more aggressive exchanges, he left the door open for a damaging left-handed hit, something Eubank Jr would connect to before sending him back onto the deck once more.

With some opening rounds safely played, Eubank Jr turned to boxing more. He casually crashes into his man from a safe distance, while carefully taking a step back whenever his opponent unleashes an attack of his own.

Considering the level of hostility that both sides displayed toward each other during much of their pre-fight build-up, it’s not surprising to see their showdown turn tough and rough.

After finishing the third inning, Williams began hurling punches at his senior shortly after the bell. Refusing to allow those blows to go unreturned, Eubank Jr went right behind his man, connecting on a few hits of his own before they separated.

When things got hot, Eubank Jr turned to his powerful and steady shot and produced the third knock of the night in the fourth round. Although Eubank Jr appeared to be flying with, Williams began to find his rhythm again as he repeatedly forced Eubank Jr to prop his hind legs.

Though Williams began to slowly crawl back, Eubank Jr ended his momentum in the 11th round when he scored another knockdown. As the clock ticked the last few seconds, neither man showed any willingness to end their rivalry, refusing to acknowledge each other even after the battle.

However, despite the bad blood, Eubank Jr officially made their opponents rest, winning the decisive victory unanimously.
