Chloe Bailey’s debut solo single ‘Have Mercy’ was released a year ago
Lawd, Be merciful! Time will certainly fly. One year ago, today, Chloe Bailey, caused internet shock when she dropped the long awaited solo single, ‘Have Mercy’ on September 10, 2021. As a result, the song debuted in the UK. number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 13 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In January 2022, it was certified gold by the RIAA.
The video released on YouTube on the same day and reached 4.7 million views in the first 24 hours. A year later, the video reached 78 million views.

On July 1, 2021, Chloe Bailey dropped TikTok on her birthday. It’s an excerpt of the song ‘Have Mercy’ with the caption: “here’s 23… YES MERCY COMING SOON 🍑🙌🏽” This is currently her highest viewed TikTok with 20.8 Million.
Fans spent their excitement on Twitter as they waited and anticipated the new single’s release date.

‘Have Mercy’ ATE performances all the time
Chloe took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform her new single just two days after its release. She went on to perform the song at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October and the American Music Awards in November.
Although, the single did not receive any awards, ‘Have Mercy’ was nominated in 2022 at the NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Music Video/Image Album and Outstanding Soul/R&B Song. As well as Video of the Year at the 2022 BET Awards & Best R&B Song at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
