China’s Ding Liren defeated teenage Grandmaster R. Praggnanandha of India in the final of the Chessable Masters online fast chess tournament on Friday.
The Chinese won the first set and forced Praggnanandhaa to face a forced win in the second set which the Indians managed to recover from.
Ding defeated his extraordinary opponent in a two-game blitz.
