Chase Ultimate Rewards Points are one of the most valuable types of points. But unlike most hotel points and airline miles, you can’t earn these points from traveling. Instead, you earn them primarily by using credit cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points, such as Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.
Most Chase Ultimate Rewards cards offer a variety of rewards that allow you to earn points quickly on purchases. However, you can use the Chase shopping portal to earn even more Ultimate Rewards points when you shop at select online retailers. Here’s what you need to know about the Shop Through Chase portal.
What is Shop Through Chase?
Shopping through Chase is a online shopping portal available through your Chase Ultimate Rewards account.
More than 500 online retailers participate in the Shop Through Chase program. To earn additional points through the Chase shopping portal, click from this section of the Chase website to your favorite retailer and then make your purchase as usual. The Shop Through Chase website will redirect you to your favorite retailer’s website, so there’s nothing left to do but shop as usual.
Taking an extra minute to use Shop Through Chase instead of going directly to the retailer’s website can pay off. For example, if your retailer rewards you with 5 points per dollar when you start at Shop Through Chase, a $100 purchase will earn you 500 bonus Ultimate Rewards points.

How to access the Chase shopping portal
Chase’s shopping portal, Shop Through Chase, is available to cardholders with at least one Chase Credit Card earn Ultimate Reward points. Some common examples include Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, Chase Freedom Flex® And Chase Freedom Unlimited®.
Most Chase cardholders can use Shop Through Chase, but co-branded cardholders are not eligible. If you have an eligible Ultimate Rewards card, visit Ultimate Rewards Website and log in with your credit card account information.

How does Shop Through Chase work?
If you have more than one Chase card that earns Ultimate Rewards points, you must choose which account you want to earn points from when you sign in. Ultimate Rewards Website.
Shop Through Chase payouts are generally the same regardless of which card you select when you log in. However, sometimes payouts to selected merchants will vary by card type. You can manually check each payout by logging in with your different Ultimate Rewards earning cards or using aggregator sites like cashbackmonitor.com to quickly compare prices between different shopping portals and cards.
Once logged into the Ultimate Rewards page, click the three dots next to “Convert to Cash,” select “Shop & Experiences,” then click “Shop & Earn Rewards.”
Once you get to the Shop Through Chase page, you can use it in a number of ways. One option is to enter your desired merchant in the search box on the right.
Or you can scroll down and see the top stores that are currently offering high reward points. You’ll see a list of all the stores you can access through Shop Through Chase by clicking “See All Stores.” If you want to be notified when a store is offering more points than usual, you can favorite it by clicking the little heart.
Once you find the retailer you want, click on the retailer name. You will be taken to a screen that will verify the number of points per dollar you will earn on your purchase and any restrictions or rules associated with that retailer.
When you click “Buy Now” on the rules and restrictions screen, you will be taken to the retailer’s website.
Assuming you’re ready to make a purchase, go ahead and do so as soon as Chase takes you to the retailer’s website. Be sure not to close your browser or navigate away and then come back. The cookie placed on your browser may still count your purchase even if you navigate away for a while, but it may not. You can always restart the process from the Shop Through Chase website if you’re unsure.
Points you earn with Shop Through Chase typically appear on your “Rewards Activity” page within three to five business days of your purchase. However, in some cases, it may take up to two billing cycles for your rewards points to post.
