Promised day came. Animation studio MAPPA held a special livestream event to introduce the film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular manga. The Chainsaw Man The trailer gave fans and viewers the most important look at the film. It also revealed the show’s main voice cast.

The trailer shows moments from previous chapters of Chainsaw Man story. Makima and a group of demon hunters arrive at the scene of a massacre. Her narration sets out the context of the story. She refers to the appearance of Gun Devil after a gun-related terrorist attack in the US. The perspective shifts to Denji, still with Pochita. Footage of Denji’s demon hunter partners Power and Aki Hayakawa in action was also shown. The Chainsaw Man The anime’s trailer closes with a montage of battles, including the battle against the Bat Demon and Demon Leech. Aki also uses Fox Devil under his contract.
Credits on Chainsaw Man The trailer reveals the show’s main voice cast, with some new and lesser-known voice actors in key roles.
- Denji is played by Kikunosuke Toya, who played most of the background characters in The heroines run the show and Tokyo 24th Ward before Chainsaw Man.
- Makima is played by Tomori Kusunoki, who played Yoko Tia Noto in Bastard!! Netflix adaptation, Sumika in Replace Muv-LuveNeiru in Prefer Magic Eggsand Natsume in Deca-dence.
- Aki Hayakawa played by Shougo Sakata, who played Masa in Ya Boy Kongming !, Leviathan in My Hero Academia: World Heroes ‘Mission, and Ranmaru in Fairy Ranmaru.
- Power played by Fairouz Ai, who played Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Hibiki in How much weight do you lift? and Majirou in Tokyo Revergers.
Voice actors for other characters such as Kobeni, Reze, Himeno, and Beam have yet to be revealed.
The Chainsaw Man anime airs October 2022. The world premiere of episode 1 will be held on September 9, 2022, in Japan. Crunchyroll will air the series in most territories outside of Japan and Asia. The Chainsaw Man manga is published in English by Viz Media.
