Cause of death of former NBA player Adreian Payne revealed
New details have emerged about the shooting death Adrian Payne.
According to the autopsy report issued by E! The news of July 28, the way of death of the former NBA star has officially ruled a homicide, listing the cause of his death “gunshot wounds to the arm and chest.”
The report comes nearly three months after the basketball player’s death on May 9. Payne, 31, was fatally shot in Orange County, Fla. At the time, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told E! News, “A man in his 30s shot, later identified as Adreian Payne, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
Authorities added that the shooter “stayed at the scene and was transported to OCSO headquarters, where he was interviewed by homicide detectives.” Lawrence DorityThe man, identified by authorities as the shooter, was arrested on warrant for first-degree murder and taken to the Orange County Jail.
Dority was later charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, according to a booking form issued by E! News.
