Carlos Sainz Jr. won the British Grand Prix for the first F1 victory of his career
SILVERSTONE, England – Carlos Sainz Jr won his first Formula 1 race on Sunday with a win over the Briton grand opening – the most thrilling race ever in this year’s season. It begins with a terrifying first-round collision and ends with intense battles for podium spots.
Sainz took the lead with Charles Leclerc close behind and, while Ferrari at first saying they were “free to fight”, the Italian team then asked Sainz to let Leclerc pass to avoid losing time. Lewis Hamilton.
But a safety car came along and Ferrari took Sainz into the cellar for softer, fresher tires. Leclerc was left on old, stiff tires and Sainz soon overcame his teammates to regain the lead and take the first win of his 150th game. F1 begin.

Sergio Pérez overtook Hamilton and Leclerc after the restart and crossed the finish line second behind Sainz, but faced an investigation into cutting a chicane. Hamilton was second only briefly after edging past both Pérez and Leclerc in a wide triple move, but he was unable to hold the position and dropped to fourth.
Hamilton then overtook Leclerc in a fierce fight for third place. He also took the lead on Sunday for the first time this season. Leclerc then spoke privately with Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto.
The race was halted in the opening lap because of a terrifying multi-vehicle collision that sent Guanyu Zhou’s car upside down into the fence. He was treated at the medical center and Williams’ driver Alexander Albon was taken to hospital for evaluation after hitting a wall in the same incident.
Max Verstappenthe reigning F1 champion and current leader of the standings, has fallen from the lead with loss of Red Bull after running through the debris. He struggled to take the racket position and finished in seventh place.
