BYD Seal BEV is best-selling in Malaysia in the first seven months of 2024; BYD, Tesla enter top 5: MyZEVA
the Malaysian Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA) has revealed the best-selling battery-powered cars in Malaysia for the first seven months of this year, from January to July 2024. According to the association, there were an estimated 12,400 battery-powered cars sold in Malaysia as of July 2024 .

In the second half, the team ranked sixth Great Wall of Ora Good Cat accounting for 3%, followed by Smart number 1 Brabus in seventh place also with 3%. Table of 10 best-selling BEV cars compiled by MG4, BMW i5 and BMW iX2 at 2% shares each.
The association expects electric vehicle sales in Malaysia to reach 20,000 units this year, and the aforementioned figure of 12,400 units in July was close to its own full-year figure for 2023, which was 13,257 units.
