Brown’s analyzed it, the public sector tried to ban Apple

“He’s just come of age. He’s got a great background and is very consistent,” said coach Ian Wilkes. “He’s just an honest pony. He’s always trying and you have to love him. He came to me in really good condition and I’m very lucky to reap the benefits.”

The Mira Mission and Set Piece was slated for Wise Dan Stakes (G2T) at Churchill Downs earlier this month, but that race was canceled when that track’s tough, fledgling grass race was scrapped. .

“He went all winter and spring and then I had to regroup,” Wilkes said. “He’s been training well, so it’s convenient that this race is here. The horse has done well.”

Atone, coached by Mike Maker, looks for a breakthrough grader win after narrowly losing on four consecutive bets at the 2nd and 1st grade levels.
