British title match for York Hall in September
Denzel Bentley will return to the ring next month.
The British middleweight champion will defend his title in London on September 16.
Bentley regained the title with a win over Linus Udofia in May, but lost it after being stopped by Felix Cash in April 2021.
But the Battersea man (16-1-1, 13 KOs) got back on track with a win over Sam Evans, stopping him in the third round, before surging past the previously unbeaten Udofia at Indigo at the O2 in Greenwich.
Now, the 27-year-old orthodox boxer will face off against Marcus Morrison at the famous York Hall in Bethnal Green, exclusively live on BT Sport.
Morrison (24-5, 16 KOs) is back in middleweight after trying his luck at 168lbs in a showdown for the WBO International title hosted by Zach Parker last November.
Morrison’s career kicked off again with his knocking out old Billy Joe Saunders rival Emanuele Blandamura in 2019 to claim the WBC International Silver title and two wins later he accepted the challenge to go head to head with Chris Eubank Jr. – who meets Conor Benn in an exciting weight class competition. on October 8 at the O2 Arena, live exclusively on DAZN worldwide and DAZN Pay-Per-View in the UK and Ireland – and were beaten by points after 10 rounds.
And promoter Frank Warren is excited about the show coming next week before the big heavyweight showdown between Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker at the AO Arena in Manchester on September 24Directly exclusively on BT Sport Box Office.
Warren, who was recently accused of giving up the Ring Magazine title by Tyson Fury following his most recent retirement, said in a press release:

The villainous Liverpudlian Andrew Cain, who has stopped all but one of his 10 opponents so far, will return to the ring in the lower division, defending the WBC International Silver title at super bantamweight, while the former Boxxer champion Ellis Zorro makes his debut under the Queensberry banner as he looks set to go 15 undefeated matches against new heavy cruiser Dec Spelman, a former British lightweight champion who has 18-5 record with nine quick finishes.
Royston Barney-Smith, Willy Hutchison and Hackney featherweight superweight Frank Arnold will be in attendance with Adan Mohamed, Khalid Ali, Arnold Obodai and debut middleweight Joel Kodua.
