As for President Trump’s criticism of Boris Johnson’s energy policies, I completely agree with what I read in the Telegraph.
The utter lack of renewable energy, especially in a country as far north as England, should be obvious to anyone who can do the little math. Trump is a businessman – he understands economics and cash flow, so he can calculate.
Even if you believe a little government money or market-distorting preferential rules are needed to kickstart Britain’s green energy economy, ask yourself, what is the taxpayer’s exit strategy? what? The day when government money must end, otherwise should renewables be considered a failure?
If you cannot give a definite answer to this question, you are admitting that renewable energy is not economically viable and cannot exist without support from the government.
