Boeing said on Tuesday it delivered 34 new planes to customers last month, putting it on schedule to more than double from 2020 this year.

Total new net orders hit 91 in November, most of which were 737 Max orders, marking the 10th consecutive month of new sales surpassing cancellations.

Boeing has delivered 302 planes this year through November, nearly double the 157 planes it delivered in all of 2020. pandemic caused by corona virus and when the worldwide grounding of its 737 Max after two deadly crashes lasted almost a whole year. Before the pandemic, in 2019, Boeing delivered 380 planes to customers.

China, one of the last countries to keep the Max grounded, approved a plan earlier this month that could allow the planes to fly again. In late October, Boeing said that Chinese airlines account for about a third of the roughly 370 Max planes Boeing has in stock.

However, other challenges remain. Deliveries of the airline’s 787 Dreamliner aircraft have been suspended for years as Boeing handled manufacturing flaws that hindered recovery and complicated the scheduling plans of major customers, such as American Airlines.

Last week, American said in a filing that it would have to cut its long-haul international flight schedule for next summer because of delays.
