Bob Saget’s family filed a lawsuit in Orange County, Fla., Tuesday in an attempt to prevent the release of medical records related to the investigation into his death.

According to Orlando, the lawsuit, filed by Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, and his three daughters, names Orange County Sheriff John Mina and the medical examiner’s office as defendants. TV station WESH2.

The lawsuit argues that further disclosure of Saget’s medical records would expose the family to “irreparable harm in the form of excruciating emotional pain, suffering and emotional distress”, WESH2 news.

Additionally, the family argues in the lawsuit that there is no public interest served by releasing Saget’s records to the public.

Saget, 65 years old, is was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando last month and died of a head injury, according to a statement from the family.

The family said the 65-year-old actor and comedian “accidentally hit something on the head, didn’t think about it, and went to sleep.” According to the coroner’s report, there was no drugs or alcohol.

Saget suffered “fractures in the back of his head and around his eyes” at the time of his death, according to the post mortem report. Everyone. Saget was also positive for COVID-19 at the time of his death, the autopsy noted.

Saget was on a comedy tour and had done a gig near Jacksonville, Fla., the day before.

In a statement released last week by the Saget family, they added that they were “overwhelmed with the incredible overflowing love” from his fans, saying the support was “a joy” great consolation” to them.

Questions surrounding Saget’s cause of death increased after the extent of his injuries were detailed in the autopsy report.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office post an interview on CNN’s New Day on his Twitter, Sheriff John Mina addresses Saget’s injuries. Mina is part of the investigation surrounding the death of the actor and comedian.

Mina told CNN that although Saget’s injuries were “serious,” there were no signs of a struggle.
