Following in the footsteps of other popular BMW R 18 customization projects, seven BMW Motorrad sales partners in Poland have taken it upon themselves to give the premium cruiser a new look – from an R 18 inspired by a popular American cartoon characters to a Japanese-style mockup of bobber-style motorcycles (and a famous painting from that same country) and everything in between. Following similar efforts in Canada, Italy and Japan, impressive custom projects based on the BMW R 18 have now also been created in Poland. BMW Motorrad Poland has revealed seven equally personal and spectacular creations using the “Big Boxer”.

BMW ZK Motors – BMW R 18 Black Jack
Black as night, top to bottom, the R 18 Black Jack was presented by BMW Motorrad sales partner ZK Motors in Kielce. The customisers used not only black lacquer but also extensive black chrome plating, which gives the R 18 Black Jack a very special high-end appeal.
Galvanized treated parts list includes headlight ring, speedometer bezel, engine cover, handlebar weights, cylinder head cover, push rod tube, intake manifold cover, grille, kit cover air filter, handlebar clamps, wider beach bar, fuel tank cap, fuel tank trim and hanging rearview mirror.
Small 16-inch wheels with large tires give the R 18 Black Jack an elongated, low and masculine appearance. The all-black look is further enhanced by a matte black exhaust system and premium milled details. The cylinder head cover and engine cover cover feature milled trim from Roland Sands Design and the “Black Jack” emblem on the engine is also milled from aluminum.
Other black details such as the armrests, front turn signals, turn signals and reverse turn signals into the recess to keep the rear fenders in harmony. The quilted single seat, tinted headlight lens and left license plate holder also match the style. The two Black Jack cards on the rear fender are the highlight on the cake.

BMW Dobrzanski Team Custom – BMW R 18 Isle of Man
The famous Isle of Man, which has hosted the Tourist Trophy since 1907 and where Georg “Schorsch” Meier won the Senior TT for BMW in 1939, inspired BMW Motorrad Dobrzanski Team Customs sales partner in Kraków to created the BMW R 18 Isle of Sport Man.
The design of the BMW R 18 Isle of Man evolved from the legacy of Georg Meier’s BMW factory-winning racing machine, the BMW RS 255 Kompressor. Embellished with the starting number of “Schorsch” Meier, 49, this motorcycle is deeply rooted in the tradition of road racing and represents the history of the Isle of Man as a special place for motorcyclists. and the history of BMW Motorrad.
The “Isle of Man green metallic” finish, familiar from the BMW M4, defines the car’s dynamic appearance and emphasizes the love of speed and engagement with the world of special BMW cars.
Liberty Motors Piaseczno – BMW R 18 Liberty
Nine Hills Motorcycles in Chełmno is a Polish company with a famous tradition, led by a true enthusiast: Paweł Stachura. His designs are recognized worldwide and the motorcycles have won the world’s best custom stages. As a partner of Liberty Motors Piaseczno, this commissioned project based on the BMW R 18 named Liberty includes hand-crafted body parts from scratch, such as the fuel tank, front and rear fenders, bench, rim lights with small LED headlights, and steering wheel.
Special features include a circular gauge integrated into the tank center tunnel, a fuel tank neck that is flat to the tank surface and can be opened under pressure, and exclusive leather parts as well. Handcrafted, including seat covers and side pockets. The chassis features a fully lowered and adjustable rear suspension, slightly lowered fork and Rick’s Motorcycles three-piece wheels, measuring 8 x 18 inches at the rear and 3.5 x 21 inches at the front. with 240/40-18 and 130/ 60-21 tires respectively.
Various CNC-milled parts such as the cylinder head cover or specially designed oil cooler, as well as brake calipers and footrests from Beringer, elegantly complement the R 18 Liberty, which has been meticulously airbrushed. The short black FCR exhaust system accentuates the stylish look.

BMW Inchape Wrocêaw – BMW R 18 Roadster
BMW and MINI sales partner Inchcape Wrocêaw in Wroclaw drew inspiration for the design of the BMW R 18 Roadster entirely from the automotive engineering of the 1920s and 1930s. The focus was on clean and direct lines, along with the design of the BMW R 18 Roadster. with a bit of Art Deco, finally giving a very neat and equally unique look to the R 18 Roadster.
A newly developed hunchback bench with an additional fuel tank and “Monza Hat” filler neck gives the rear end of the R 18 Roadster a very sporty look, complemented at the front by a cabin decoration. suitable steering and special steering.
Vertical beading on the hunchback bench and bib are the design elements that define this bike’s style. BMW Smorawiński – BMW R 18 Roar
BMW’s sales partner, Smorawiński in Poznań, fully thought of researching the 2019 R 18 Concept when creating his R 18 Roar.
In particular, the Smorawiński team focused on the back part which looks very gentle. Harmonious details such as the short rear fender and the swinging saddle with two coil springs make the bike look exceptionally light. The sidepipe-style “no muffler” ultra-short exhaust system not only produces great sound, but also adds a gentle look to the rear end.
Coupled with wire-spoke wheels and chrome brake calipers, the result is a very pure R 18 with a pure motoring feel. Roar!
BMW Inchcape Poznań – BMW R 18 Speedy Gonzales
BMW’s sales partner, Inchcape in Swadzim, chose the fastest mouse in Mexico as the name to coincide with his custom product BMW R 18. Voilà, BMW R 18 Speedy Gonzales. You can picture this custom BMW R 18 on a highway in the northern Mexican desert, past giant cacti and nothing but a seemingly endless stretch of asphalt ahead – similar to life. Adventures of the mouse in the TV cartoon.
Indeed, the BMW R 18 Speedy Gonzales with its apehanger-style handlebars and comfortable single seat seems to be made for endlessly paved roads. Inspired by the automotive architecture of the 1920s and 1930s, the front and rear fenders flex strongly. This design feature, along with the fuel tank, side skirts, headlight covers, toolbox and long rear fishtail silencer, give the car a great presence. Not to mention its special paint finish – done in two shades of blue and black using intricate airbrushing and sculpted lines.
This bike is characterized by impeccable craftsmanship and is a real eye-catcher and party treat!
Team BMW Długołęka – BMW R 18 The Great Wave
Together with UNIKAT Motorworks, BMW’s sales partner, the Długołęka Group initiated the BMW R 18 The Great Wave. Leitmotif here is a modification of the BMW R 18 inspired by Japanese art painting and Japanese bobber motorcycle style.
The car’s glossy finish makes you think the R 18 The Great Wave has been around for decades and was just found in a warehouse. This particular painting technique was entrusted to the best Polish artist: Łukasz Elbalenko. The theme of the Great Wave in Kanagawa was chosen because it is one of the most famous Japanese works of art by Hokusia, created around 1831.
The Japanese bobber style features details such as a ducktail rear fender, a shortened rear frame with a single saddle wrapped in natural brown leather. The reverberating sound is produced by a short, hand-crafted silencer with grooved brass tips and a hexagonal cross-section. You’ll also find exclusive copper coatings on the bearings, brake calipers, and cylinder head covers.
Finally, the classic Shinko tires with very large cross-section and tread give the R 18 The Great Wave a particularly masculine look. The flat towbar handlebars with genuine leather grips and personalized engine emblems accentuate the well-balanced look of the R 18 The Great Wave.
