Berlanga decides Angulo | BoxingInsider.com

Hardcore hitter Edgar Berlanga returned to the ring Saturday night to take on veteran Roamer Angulo in a scheduled 10th round match at the Theater in Madison Square Garden. The super middleweight bout is the main event of the ESPN card. The first was the feel-good process for both boxers while the second saw Berlanga 19-0 using looks and patience. Angulo 27-2 pressured his man in the third round. Berlanga is cool, but there’s no denying Angulo’s attack plan. Angulo landed well in the fourth round. Berlanga, however, did hit and run to some effects (although it was hard not to notice the blood running down his nose).
Things were still a bit quiet in the fifth season. Season six also saw things remain in their familiar pattern – with Angulo moving forward and Berlanga retreating and delivering jabs. Angulo was able to capture his men for the seventh time, but it was not enough to cause serious damage. Berlanga, on the other hand, appears content to backup and jab. The undefeated warrior also appeared to bite Angulo in the neck. The eighth part is largely unstable.
Both boxers trade skins in ninth place. The tenth and final round, like most of the fight, was generally a less dramatic affair. With that in mind, Berlanga did what he had to do to win, through a unanimous decision from the referees.
