Benavidez takes down a brave mad Lemieux in three
By: Sean Crose
Famous former super middleweight player David Benavidez took on former middleweight player David Lemieux at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday night. The Showtime card main event is scheduled for 12 rounds and is for the WBC Interim World Super Middleweight belt. 25-0 Benavidez tried to maintain range early, while 43-4 Lemieux tried to penetrate the box. However, Lemieux rocked with just seconds left in the first inning, and Benavidez broke down. Somehow, Lemieux survived the chapter.
Lemieux lunged at this man within seconds, but was pushed to the carpet seconds later. Lemieux stood up and continued to slug. Benavidez remained calm, waiting for his chance. Certainly, Benavidez’s higher strength simply proves to be too much. The Arizonan top lane where beating the intrepid Canadian is almost mindless. However, somehow, Lemieux fought his way through the ring. It is a record of courage. However, how long can it continue?
Lemieux began to attack his men for the third time in anger. However, Benavidez’s shots were just utter destruction. Fortunately, referee Harvey Dock intervened and stopped the fight mid-half. Lemieux was indeed ready to fight, but he had taken so much damage that he had to save himself.
