On Wednesday, secretary Jay Shah of the Cricket Supervisory Board in India denied speculations that board chairman Sourav Ganguly had resigned.
“The rumors about Mr. Sourav Ganguly resigning as BCCI chairman are in fact incorrect,” said Shah. Sports star.

Ganguly posted a cryptic tweet on Wednesday suggesting that he’s coming up with something new. Minutes after the tweet went viral, there was speculation that the former India captain might give up his position as BCCI chief. But the publication understands that Ganguly posted this tweet as a promotion for his new business venture.
“The year 2022 marks the 30th year since I started my journey with cricket in 1992. Since then, cricket has given me a lot. Most importantly, it gave me all of your support. I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey, supported me and helped me get to where I am today. Today, I am planning to start something that I feel can help a lot of people. I hope you guys continue to support me as I enter this chapter of my life,” tweeted Ganguly.
Ganguly later confirmed that this was an advertisement for an upcoming educational app. Close aides to Ganguly confirmed that the tweet had nothing to do with his stint at BCCI and that he was also not involved in politics. He has been the chairman of the Board of Directors since 2019. This year, the Board has successfully conducted the entire Indian Premier League in the country.
