Battlefield 2042 latest update adds weekly quests and improves visibility

Released a a bunch of fixes Last week, Dice continued Battlefield 2042 Rescue operation with a major patch that adds weekly missions, visual improvements to the map, UI tweaks and Portal changes. So yes, there’s a lot to go through. Is that right?

Update #3 is new living across all platforms and contains a mountain of bug fixes, quality of life fixes, and other additions.

A highlight includes weekly quests that will be included in Battlefield 2042 next week. Each week you’ll get three quests that you can tackle for extra XP, and if you complete them all, you’ll get a cosmetic reward. I suppose it’s impossible to go wrong with an added bonus. I’m also a fan of dangling airguns. I saw them vent their anger as I crossed a wall for the thirteenth time. While there should be less of that, it’s a good thing.

The custom mode editor portal has also seen some tweaks. New models are already in the Builder, and a new customization mode called Vehicle Team Deathmatch will mean more vehicle riders.

But it is the “Gameplay” and “Quality Of Life” sections that prove the most satisfying. The menus have been streamlined so there are fewer clicks when customizing your loading. Clutter has been reduced to help improve visibility. I’m especially excited to see improved friend or foe markers that will make identifying bad guys or teammates much easier. The number of times I spray a magazine into a friendly magazine is very high.

We’ve since had over 150 fixes to the game’s maps, which means fewer visual glitches and crash issues, aka less getting stuck in the ground. . Even seemingly trivial things, like improving interactions, mean less confusion when trying to open doors or activate elevators. This will go a long way to focusing the fight on your enemies, not the battlefield.

Dice plans to release a smaller update this month that focuses on further balance changes and more bug fixes. It’s been a pretty tight schedule, but they’ve done well on their word so far of completing Battlefield 2042. Maybe I’ll go back and see if it crashes less. Wish me luck.
