Authorities offered $25,000 after dog intentionally shot with arrow
When it comes to luck, no dog has more than one little Chihuahua named Tiffany Grace.
It’s an absolute miracle that this sweet girl not only survived an intentional injury with barely a critical artery, but now she’s living her best life. with her new mother who adores her.
When a woman was startled awake by the sound of a dog squealing outside, she certainly did not expect that she had found a small, 4-month-old Chihuahua in a near-death condition. The poor girl had an arrow shot through her neck. A terrible act of animal cruelty was committed, and then she was left with only death.
“For someone to intentionally shoot this poor dog with an arrow is disgusting. We are in shock and we hope someone can provide us with any information as to who did this,” said Animal Services Director Erin Gettis.
But luckily, help immediately came to her, and they didn’t hesitate to get her to the Coachella Valley Animal Facility as quickly as possible. There, she received life-saving surgery to remove the arrow. Even though it was a deliberate act of violence, the arrow miraculously missed all of her vital arteries.
“I can’t imagine why anyone would do something terrible to such an innocent creature. It was very sick,” said veterinary technician Emily Ellison.
How is her new mother chosen?
After news of Tiffany Grace and her miracle story spread in the community, many people expressed interest in adopting her. So the rescue asked all 100 interested families to write a letter explaining why they wanted to be family forever, her new love. Out of everyone, Lyn Thornton was the chosen one.
“She wrote us an engaging letter and shared that she has a great relationship with her veterinarian, having adopted senior dogs and full-fledged medical care dogs. previous challenge. She will stay in touch with us and has served as an animal ambassador and shelter dog advocate in Riverside County,” the shelter shared.
Now, Tiffany Grace is living the life of her dreams, with a family that adores her. With luck like hers, it’s too bad she can’t afford a lottery ticket!
