Another interesting fact offered by the advertisement is that the newly rebuilt large block has been fitted with a hotter cam and enhanced valve gear. That is obviously good for 322 horses at the wheel with more reserve.
The seller says the swap has about 3K under its belt and the truck overall costs 173,000. The engine isn’t the only part that gets a refresh. According to the description, it also gets new differences front and rear, a rebuilt and beefed-up gearshift box, and a relatively new transmission that the seller says is in good working order. There are also a lot of other backend updates, and nothing seems to have been put together or omitted. Even the air conditioner and thermostat are working.
The whole thing runs on yellow aftermarket wheels fitted with BFG knobs. The bodywork is clean (except in the photo, it’s not) and it looks like all the trims are intact. On the other hand, the seller says that aftermarket lights don’t fit all that’s great and even though the paint is nice, it’s 23 years old and showing in places.
The interior is pretty good, just anguished some cracks and splits on the driver’s seat. Honestly, I don’t think any of these guys don’t wear that badge of honor. The roof is new and there are some Cadillac Escalade trim elements scattered throughout the cabin.
The Alpine head unit holds position in the dashboard and plays through upgraded speakers in the doors. Furniture has be Dynomatic to keep other sound down. It also has the desirable barn door end.
The seller says that the truck carries a clear title and current California tags. They also said it was “a bit noisy. And Rowdy.” I think we all like that kind of description. The question is whether we’d like it worth $17,000.
It is the asking price that the seller says is certain. Of course, they later said they would lower the price but the truck parts would be dropped from the deal. What do you think, it should go all-intact at that $17,000 claim? Or, for that price, is this a Tahoe you mean ta-ta?
