Aston Martin Valiant 2025: Powerful track-inspired supercar approved by Alonso

‘Fast’ is an understatement when it comes to Aston Martin’s new race car for the road.

The Aston Martin Valiant is a more powerful and even faster sequel to last year’s Valor.

The Valiant was developed with input from two-time Formula 1 world champion and current Aston Martin F1 driver Fernando Alonso, who personally commissioned the track-focused supercar.

Like the Valour, it is powered by an Aston Martin engine 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 enginemanufacture 548kW power and 753Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

Although it is 22kW more powerful than the Valour, the Valiant’s torque output is unchanged as it is understood to be at the limit of what the gearbox can handle.

Additional changes under the skin include a revolutionary 3D printed subframe (saving 3kg), a magnesium torque tube (reducing center mass by 8.6kg) and a lithium-ion battery sourced from sports car, cutting an additional 11.5kg from its weight.

While featuring the Valour’s classic round headlights set deep into the full-width carbon fiber front grille, the Valiant’s bodywork is significantly widened thanks to wild carbon fiber sections that enhance the downforce. aerodynamic compression at high speeds.

Formula One-style ‘vortex generators’ are integrated into the bodywork ahead of the rear wheels, providing additional high-speed downforce and traction.

A set of 21-inch magnesium wheels continues the weight-saving exercise, combining to save 14kg and reduce unsprung mass.

The interior is loaded with track-ready equipment, including a half-cage and a pair of Recaro Podium racing seats, allowing owners to install four-point harnesses if they’re really committed.

There’s carbon fibre and Alcantara trim, while the Valiant gets an exposed gearshift linkage that Aston Martin claims has been improved for an improved shifting experience thanks to a new weighted rotary knob.

Only 38 Valiants were produced and sold, each with specialized upgrades chosen by Fernando Alonso himself.

Based on Motor1.comThe average cost for a Valiant will be around £2 million, or $3.79 million, although this depends on individual customization preferences.

The Aston Martin Valiant will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs from July 11 to 14.
