Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ragnarok information leaked

Later today, Ubisoft will announce something new for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. They haven’t said what it is yet but since Ubisoft can’t or won’t keep it a secret, leaks have surfaced. According to the alleged screenshots and store info, it’s an expansion called Dawn Of Ragnarok with lots of fantasy elements, a journey into Norse legend with Odin, dwarves and giants, and that.

Based on a post on Reddit, a store listing for Dawn Of Ragnarok was leaked early in Chinese stores. That name was expected after fans found achievements for it in the data file. Along with screenshots (which I won’t include here, to avoid Ubisoft’s lawyers), the page has a description someone ran through Google Translate:

The story takes place in the magnificent Nine Realms of Northern Mythology, and it has been threatened by the invasion of the realm of ice and fire. The kingdom of the dwarves at Wat Alheim is currently disintegrating; During the war, Odin’s beloved son Badr was also unfortunately captured by the immortal fire giant Surut.

“Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” -Dawn of Ragnarok “is the most ambitious expansion in the history of the series: this time, Aivor must personally experience the fate of Odin, the War of the North, and the destiny of the gods. World of myths, set on urgent mission to save children, unleash the all-new supernatural power of thunder. After this shocking Viking legend, save your own flesh and blood before the gods were devoured by disaster.

A few hard-to-sound names and weird phrases from machine translation but yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was real. AC Odyssey takes Kassandra to Elysian Fields to meet sexy tall goddess like Persephone and Hekate, after all.

The expansion is said to launch on March 10, 2022. Ubisoft’s official announcement will come today at 5pm (9am Pacific time), so we should find out soon. see if it is correct or not. Given the extent of Ubisoft’s leaks, yes, I would expect it to be.

Talking about plans to continue to support Valhalla, Ubisoft recently announced that this week they’re releasing a big patch — a big patch. That’s 78GB because you’ll need to reload the entire game after the data refactoring, although that should offer the benefit of improved performance and less disk space.

I’m really concerned about the possibility that Ubisoft might be planning an NFT, like they did with Ghost Recon Breakpoint. They are quick hide that trailer after people pointed out that it sucks, even though I don’t understand that means they changed their mind. Technology can’t fight lousy NFTs.

A group of current and former Ubisoft employees, under the name ABetterUbisoft, are still calling on the company to respond to their requests following allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination in the newspaper. They have a public petition was supported by more than 15,000 people. ABetterUbisoft has regularly spoken out in support of Activision Blizzard employees facing a similar situation and their staff group, ABetterABK.
