Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting its second year update and along with a big new expansion There are two crossover missions in which Valhalla’s Eivor will meet the protagonist Kassandra of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The quests will be available for free tomorrow, with one available in each game.

In Valhalla, the quest is “A Fated Encounter”, and you can access it if you’ve reached Mediation level 4 and completed the “A Wise Friend” quest. In the Odyssey, the quest is “Those Who Are Treasures”, the quest is available after the end of Chapter 1 through a quest giver at Sami Harbor on Kephallonia Island.
How can two main characters, separated by a thousand years of history, meet? Because it’s a sci-fi video game and sometimes steeped in mythology, that’s why. There’s a story that justifies that, though, and Ubisoft points out that the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey mission will contain spoilers for that game’s end if you haven’t completed it.
Perhaps most interestingly, these two missions are dubbed “Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories”, with some hinting that this won’t be the last time the series’ two main characters collide.
It also brings us one step closer to Katharine’s dream: a time travel TV show starring Eivor, Kassandra and Syndicate’s Evie Frye.
A group of current and former Ubisoft employees, under the name ABetterUbisoft, are still calling on the company to respond to their requests following allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination in the newspaper. They have a public petition was supported by more than 15,000 people. ABetterUbisoft has regularly spoken out in support of Activision Blizzard employees facing a similar situation and their staff group, ABetterABK.
