ASBK round in Tasmania canceled
ASBK in Tasmania to be canceled in 2022
The ASBK management team has announced the cancellation of the Australian Motor Racing Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) in Round 6, scheduled to be held at the Symmons Plains Raceway, Tasmania.
Cancellation is required due to a recent national motorsport schedule change affecting the Tasmania round, including the announcement of WorldSBK’s return to Phillip Island in November and another international event landing. on the relevant weekend.
Other complications include Supercars’ recent late decision to go ahead with the Adelaide 500 race in December, which requires a review of the backend of the 2022 calendar.
All recent changes occurring beyond the control of ASBK or Motorcycling Australia; Bad news for the Championship and its drivers and fans alike.
The ASBK management team would like to thank the Tasmanian Government for their continued support and we look forward to the opportunity to return in the future.
Finally, we take this opportunity to apologize to ASBK Team, Riders & Fans for any inconvenience caused by the requested decision.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Round 3 of the ASBK at Wakefield Park Circuit, Goulburn NSW on 22-24 April.
