Arouse your curiosity | Wit & Delight monthly theme July 2022

July 2022 topic: What piqued your curiosity? | Wit & Delight

As we get older, we tend to lean more towards what we already know to be true. We are attracted to these things because there is definitely a sense of security. In doing so, we often lose the sense of wonder that is an innate part of being human – but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to regain it.

This July, our topic on Wit & Delight is all about curiosity.

I always love learning, but school was never the perfect opportunity for me to do so. My curiosity has always been driven from within, first and foremost by an interest in the unknown and with enjoyment. experience. I am curious about my own mind and why I am the way I am, I am curious to learn more about other people, and I am curious to immerse myself in all that there is to life.

For me, curiosity is an opportunity to pay a little more attention to all that is around us. It is an invitation to explore more of a topic when we want to know more. It’s a call to reevaluate our goals, daily habits, and relationships, and then adjust whatever isn’t working.

For me, curiosity is an opportunity to pay a little more attention to all that is around us. It is an invitation to explore more of a topic when we want to know more.

As you enter July, I encourage you to think about what curiosity means to you. What in particular has caught your attention lately? In what areas of your life have you felt stuck? Instead, does approaching them through a curious lens help you see areas of opportunity?

In the low points throughout my life, my sense of curiosity always brings a moment of light. It has helped me find a sense of resilience. It has helped me rethink some of the useless stories I told myself in the past to discover new ways of living. Curiosity is a well-accepted mindset, throughout many stages of our lives.

This July on W&D, our contributors will write about the potential benefits of anxiety and why curiosity is key to a healthy relationship. I’ll share a list of things you might not know about me, expensive things I bought *not* worth it, and our rearrangement plan for a basement redesign. Stay tuned for this and more throughout the next month!
