All iPhones will be powered by renewable energy by 2030, Apple says

But on Thursday, in Sydney, Apple Environmental Vice President Lisa Jackson marked the company’s 40th year in Australia with a major green energy announcement.
Apple has committed to buying clean energy from a Australian Wind farm in Queenslandthe same amount of energy that would power 80,000 homes.
It’s part of Apple’s efforts to achieve its clean energy goals.
And those goals are lofty.
Having achieved carbon neutrality for its corporate operations (Office, Travel, Retail) in April 2020, Apple now plans to achieve its 2030 climate goal of being carbon neutral. across the entire business, including the customer’s supply chain and products.

Arrogance is breathtaking. If people want to offset the carbon cost of recharging their phones, they can make their own decisions. But Apple doesn’t want to take the risk that consumers might make choices they don’t accept, so it seems to have decided to deprive consumers of their freedom of choice and charge their green lunacy. they enter the prepaid purchase price of the product.
