About Diving Into Pink

Dive into the Pink, Inc. was founded in 2015 by Allison Vitsky, a breast cancer survivor, veteran diver, and underwater photographer who wanted to raise money to fight cancer in an unorthodox way—by going scuba diving with friends.

Most of the organization’s funds are divided between the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) and the Guise Laboratory at MD Anderson Cancer Center. YSC is an international organization dedicated to the important issues facing young women with breast cancer—specifically, Dive into the Pink supports and promotes YSC’s incredible patient support network. Guise Laboratory is part of the Department of Endocrinology at Indiana University; the funds are dedicated to a research project to see if characteristics of the bone marrow microenvironment can alter or promote the spread of breast and other cancers to the bone.

In 2024, all proceeds raised in the Think Pink Photo Contest will go to the UCLA Brain Cancer Research Foundation in memory of underwater photographer Deanne King.

Dive into the Pink is a 501c3 organization with no payroll and low administrative costs.
