Unlike Cannes, Sundance Film Festival is quite neat when it comes to dress. Often, the weather (aka heavy snow) in Park City gets in the way of attendees prioritizing bold looks over utility, and this is understandable. That being said, it seems Anne Hathawaywhose movie Eileen premiered at the film festival on Saturday, didn’t receive a memo, and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited about it.
For the premiere, Hathaway and her stylist, Erin Walshspit a Float coats with a bra like bustier off of Versacerunway F/W 22 and pair it with sweatpants and sky-high podiums, essentially combining the practicality needed for a winter weekend in Park City with couture. . The look came after a bunch of other celebrities were also discovered take off pants favor outerwear or knitwear combined with tight pants, including Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Sophie Turner, and more. After posing on the carpet in a puffy jumpsuit and tights, Hathaway finally took off her outerwear to introduce a tweed mini dress also by Versace. But there’s no doubt that the look before the costume stole the show — or better yet, the weekend.
