Anger Foot might be Devolver Digital’s coolest game yet

After a busy day of Summer Game Festing, I’ve spent quite a bit, but let Devolver Digital (and Suda) to tickle my brain a little with another chaotic intro. In a way, we’ve seen the adorable 2D-meet-3D story adventure Plucky Squire – and on the other hand, yes Angry feet, a head-to-head kick action game for the sick.

A first look at the gameplay from developer Free Lives (Broforce, GORN, Terra Nil) looks unchanged. I’m saying “Academy Award Winner, Russell Crowe in Unhinged“Extend.

It’s one of the most non-bullshit performances I’ve seen in a while, and I appreciate the synopsis too, which reinforces the relentless mood of this game.

“Unleash the world’s deadliest legs on a colorful array of humanoid enemies,” as Devolver Digital and Free Lives put it. “Clear out slums, sewers, and skyscrapers as you acquire new weapons, unlock new sneakers, and upgrade your powers in absurd and wonderful ways. I was able to say Angry feet would be the kind of game where the ideal is “wow, go well!” how to play, and getting the flow down just right will definitely take practice.
