Tshibaka said on the highest-ranking Senate Republican, adding: “When I beat [Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa] Murkowski and becoming the next US Senator of Alaska, I will not support Mitch McConnell as leader. It’s time for the new leadership, America First in the Senate. “
This in itself is not very surprising. After all, McConnell is backing Murkowski in her bid for re-election, which gives Tshibaka plenty of reason to oppose the Senate Minority Leader.
What’s more interesting is whether Tshibaka is – intentionally or not – starting a trend.

b) Trump has been extremely critical of McConnell for the way he has treated President Joe Biden and the Democratic majority parties in the House and Senate. “He has all the cards to win, but doesn’t have the guts to play them,”
Trump talked about McConnell earlier this month. “Instead, he gave our Country away, just as he did with two Senate seats in Georgia, and the presidency itself. The old crow is a disaster!”
c) Trump has
actively seeking to recruit a senator let McConnell take over the top leadership of the party.
Combine those factors and you’re at least likely to say you won’t vote for McConnell for leader if you win which is a must for the Senate GOP candidates trying to win. Trump’s endorsement.
That’s not a trivial thing! Like, at all!
Why? Because, in several Senate races on the 2022 vote, the GOP candidates have made it clear that they will do anything and everything to win Trump’s approval.
Missouri Representative Billy Long, one of several Republicans running in the state’s open seat race, was blunt about Trump’s imports.
“If he approves in this race, I don’t care who he endorses. It’s over,”
Long told Politico recently. “And that’s what I’m trying to impress on him is, you know, ‘you need to get into this race and end it.'” (Long also points out that he’s wearing one. the tie that Trump had signed, which, well, okay.)
Trump’s free nod for all is also happening in Ohio, where each candidate is trying to outdo Trump the others.
