Ours has just been updated and the update brings one of the most requested features: Friends List!
There are other changes as well, including new cosmetics – on Switch you can get Ghostface cosmetics, but Xbox gets the exclusive Master Chief skin, and PlayStation also gets a Ratchet and Clank. But they are all free!

Friends List
Here are all the Friend List features you can expect from this free update, v2022.3.29 on all platforms:
- A unique friend code
- Ability to send and receive friend requests (duh)
- Invite friends to your own lobby
- See who you’ve been playing with lately
- Ability to block players
- The ability to show/hide your Friend Codes (good for anyone streaming!)
- Ability to disable/enable lobby invite notifications (toggle this in Game Settings)
Notes on the Friend List:
- No offline/online status for friends yet
- You can enable/disable lobby notifications
- Child accounts will need additional permission from their parent/guardian to access their Friend List
But that’s not it! Here are some other things you can expect with this update:
- Removed the ability to link/unlink now available account – this is temporary! We need a system repair here as we’ve heard it can be a confusing process, so for now we’ll disable the feature until the next update.
- Screen Vibrate option can now be toggled On and Off (PC)
- Cosmetics are arranged in a different order
- Known bugs from this Friend List update – We are now aware of some release bugs included in this new update (v2022.3.29). We’ll work on fixing these, but for now, they’re in the new build. The biggest ones that we will note here are:
- Friends list doesn’t update in real time – needs to be refreshed
- No error message when trying to send Friend Request while offline
- “Recently Played” and “Blocked Players” tabs are not updating properly when blocking/unblocking players
- Friend List request not received after adjusting ‘Friend Requests & Lobby’ option multiple times in Settings
- Significant shading and texture issues – noticeable during the destructive phase of Light Out
- Crew and Cosmetics crew colors shown as Preferred colors over current Crewmate colors in Lobby Wardrobe
- Cosmetics can be slow to load
- When a new player joins the game, it can take half a second for their cosmetic to load into the player as it appears animated
- DLC sponsorship is ongoing – Account linking crashed some accounts in November, which is true. We’ve been steadily and diligently rolling out sponsorships for those of you who lost their DLC, and the huuuge issue is resolved at this point. As I said in The Last Error Corner, this is a manual process that takes time, so we definitely appreciate your patience!
- SSL error – this is a funny little mistake our backend programmers made. It was a few days of interrupted play, but all was well.
- Account reset error – we know this has happened to a large number of you and we hope that the changes to account linking will resolve this issue. As always, contact [email protected] if you’re still having account/inventory issues.
- Age confirmation – We partnered with SuperAwesome in 2021 to roll out an age verification process that helps our young players have a safe and enjoyable experience playing among us. This process is not easy (we were wrong on the safety side) and sometimes our adult players end up being asked to verify their age if they enter their birth year incorrectly. Please know that we listen to your feedback and we hope to streamline this process soon.
For the next update, Community Manager Victoria Tran told players they’ll focus on fixing bugs, so “don’t expect new content.”
