I don’t identify as a Republican or a Democrat.

But as an energy expert, I have to say this: If Democrats had spent the last 3.5 years unleashing US oil and gas investment, production, and transportation instead of squeezing them, energy would be much cheaper..

America is experiencing its worst energy crisis since the 1970s. High oil prices are making driving expensive, while high natural gas prices are making heating and electricity much more expensive — above all In the northeastwhere Some bidders may see prices twice as high as last winter.first

Democrats are claiming that there is nothing they can do about the current oil and natural gas prices. These prices are beyond the control of the US, they say, as they are largely set by global markets.
In fact, if Democrats were in favor of oil and gas, our prices would be much lower.
Democrats could have secured much lower oil and gas prices despite the global upheavals, when they took power in 2019:
1) Investment, production and transportation of oil are released.
2) Investment, production and transportation of released natural gas.

Instead, they systematically stifle oil and gas.
How Democrats can make oil prices lower
By helping to free up investment, production and transportation of oil, Democrats could have unleashed our vast resources and industrial ingenuity to add significantly to the global oil supply.– put great downward pressure on prices.
Energy Minister Granholm’s statement “that oil is a global market; it is controlled by a cartel… called OPEC” expressing the view that US policy has little effect on global markets. But As the shale revolution demonstrated, American industry can have a tremendous impact on global markets.3

Top Democrats like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders continually threatens U.S. oil production, and well addresses those threats by attempting to block critical oil infrastructure projects, such as pipelines. Having politicians like this drives investment away from oil.5

In July one of America’s most successful oil executivesCody Campbell, wrote an article, “Yes, Biden’s war on the oil and gas industry is leading to shortages and soaring prices.” cites the idea of Ds that “demand for oil and natural gas is coming to an end.”8
In addition to undermining the enormous potential of U.S. oil by continuing to invest in oil, Democratic politicians have gone to great lengths to sabotaging oil production: threatening to ban jailbreaking, ban federal leases, and call for new, costly taxes and regulations.9

Another Democratic view that has boosted oil prices is that hostile to pipes, especially Keystone XL. This has prevent Canada from bringing oil to market, which prevents Canada from using the full potential of its huge oil fields.– resulting in lower global supply and higher prices.ten

How Democrats can make natural gas prices lower
By supporting the release of investment, natural gas production, and especially transportation,
Democratic Party member could have ensured that we had plenty of cheap gas to use and export to allies who needed it.

They did the exact opposite.13

The extent of Democrats’ hostility toward natural gas pipelines was captured in 2019 by then-Lt. Wisconsin governor, Mandela Barnes, who said we shouldn’t “encourage building new pipelines” because “we have everything we need to make sure we don’t have to use it”. This is so wrong.16

The fierce Democratic opposition to natural gas pipelines has been particularly crippling Northeastwhich should have used cheap natural gas from Pennsylvania — but due to the lack of pipelines, had to actually import natural gas from Russia!17

As Northerners pay more for heating and electricity this winter, they should know their plight is preventable — if only Democratic politicians backed the necessary pipes. to maximize the availability of natural gas instead of working to destroy those pipelines.18
The Democratic Party of the United States opposes natural gas also hurts our allies due to the combination of Democrats opposed to pipelines and “Liquefied Natural Gas” export terminals. Every cubic foot of gas helps reduce global prices and dependence on Russia — and Democratic politicians have blocked every cubic foot they can.19

If, upon taking power in 2019, With Democrats so focused on liberating US natural gas, we could have quickly ramped up production, resulting in lower prices and more security for us and our allies. Instead, we’re struggling to grow production — and many of us are struggling to pay our bills.20

When you see your neighbors struggling to pay their bills, when you see businesses struggling or closing despite the abundant energy in America, just remember: We could have prevented most of this. And instead, our politicians, mostly Democrats, made it worse..
In addition to causing most of our energy crisis, Democrats just committed to making things worse by passing the “Inflation Reduction Act” this further harms oil and gas by
- new oil/gas tax
- gives EPA more power to limit oil/gas
- give more power to anti-oil/gas activists

To understand why the two basic arguments for the Democratic Party’s anti-oil and gas policies — 1. “Climate emergency” and 2. Solar and wind can replace natural gas fossil data – is false, read this.

I’m not happy to point out Democrats for criticism on energy issues. I consider it a tragedy that Today’s Democrats are very steadfast in their support of anti-fossil fuel policies harm our economy and security and our allies. We need more pro-energy, pro-fossil fuel Democrats.
