Waiting time out: Now you can re-apply for Amtrak credit card and get welcome bonus.
In December 2021, applications for Rewards for Amtrak khách guests Credit cards have disappeared from the Bank of America website. At the time, there was no announcement, leaving people wondering if or when the apps would reopen.
In early September 2022, we learned that First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) would take over these accounts, issue new cards and make minor adjustments to the perks, structure annual income and fees. However, these cards are mostly unchanged, other than being issued by a new bank.
News of a new credit card issuer has us speculating that today is finally here: the return of applications and sign-up rewards on the Amtrak Guest Rewards credit card.
The best offer we have ever seen on Amtrak credit card is 50,000 points after spending $2,500 on a purchase. The current bonuses are not too high but are in line with the standard offers we have come to expect from Amtrak over the years.
Amtrak Guest Rewards® Preferred Mastercard®
Of the two Amtrak credit cards currently available, this one has more perks and also has an annual fee.
Sign up bonus: New subscribers can earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases during the first three billing cycles from account opening. TPG . Value Amtrak is at just 2.5 cents per person, making this bonus worth $750.
Annual fee: 99 dollars.
Income structure: Earn 3 points per dollar spent traveling on Amtrak (including onboard purchases), 2 points per dollar on dining, commuting, transit and sharing, and 1 point per dollar la for all other purchases.

Main benefits: Cardholders receive a 20% discount (in the form of a statement credit) on food and beverage purchases on board with the Amtrak Guest Rewards Priority card. Additionally, cardholders receive a 5% point discount when redeeming points with Amtrak, are free on points expiration, and can achieve tier status faster by earning 1,000 Tier Qualified Points (TQP) every $5,000 in purchases on the card. There are no foreign transaction fees on the card.
Cardholders also receive the following benefits upon account opening and again on each account anniversary:
- Station lounge card.
- Upgrade a class.
- Round trip companion card.

Key point
Existing cardholders with Bank of America Amtrak Guest Rewards credit cards should have received their new cards in the mail by now and will be able to use them.
FNBO is now issuing Amtrak credit cards, which are available for new applications and are offering signup bonuses worth up to $750, depending on the card you sign up for.
