I started with the forecast, which included our typical summer weather roller coaster ride. Warming in the upper 80s in the west, followed by a sharp drop on Wednesday.

But most of my time is spent on how you can better understand future weather by observing the sky.
I start by noting that reduced visibility after a period of clear is often a sign of sea air currents.
Then I talk about the “hat” on our mountains that usually indicates an approaching storm.
Although contrasts can often indicate weather deterioration
And the average cumulus could hint at the possibility of a thunderstorm or other severe weather coming.
In short, there is a lot of detailed information about the weather available to an educated observer.
