A Connecticut judge has concluded that Alex Jones is responsible for damages in lawsuits brought by the parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was held liable Monday for damages in a lawsuit brought by the parents of children killed in Sandy Hook Elementary School. for Jones’ claims that the massacre was a hoax.
Judge Barbara Bellis took the rare step of charging Jones in the defamation lawsuits for “failing to present materially important information that the plaintiffs needed to substantiate their claims”. The default means that the judge favors the parents and will hold a hearing on how much damages he must pay.
Attorneys for the parents claim Jones and his companies, including Infowars and Free Speech Systems, violated court rules by failing to hand them documents, including internal documents. company show how and if, Jones and Infowars benefit from talking about school shootings and other mass shootings.
“Their pattern of defying and ignoring court orders to provide responsive information has been well established,” the family’s attorneys wrote in a court brief in July.
Jones’ attorneys have denied breaking court rules about disclosure of documents and asked for Bellis to be removed from the case, arguing that she was not impartial.
A Texas judge recently ruled similar against Jones in three defamation lawsuits brought by the Sandy Hook families in that state, arguing that Jones was liable for damages after alleging that he I and his companies did not turn over documents. Damage hearings have also been requested.
The 2012 Newtown school shooting killed 20 first-graders and six educators. Jones has since said that he does not believe the massacre was a hoax.
The families of several school shooting victims sued Jones, Infowars and others in courts in Texas and Connecticut over a prank conspiracy, saying they had been harassed and threatened by Jones’ followers kill.
