If I go out and back and I don’t have a bag on me, I feel naked and unprepared — like venturing into a dungeon without any health potions. If I need a dipstick, have I brought it with me? How can I fit all my phones, keys, and masks into the pocket of my cropped jeans? Where do I put the cool rock I just found? The extra storage is essential for my everyday carry-ons, and being able to swing the bag to the front and grab whatever I need is crucial.
Backpacks are better suited for heavy carrying or all-day walking, but for light everyday needs nothing beats a convertible crossbody bag, crossbody bag and hip bag. I’ve tested dozens over the years and these are my favorites.
