A few weeks ago, I found myself hanging out with fashion editors after work. For most, any after-work activity with co-workers can be done over cocktails, but for us, we spend that time doing what we know best—buy shop. We spent the evening trudging across the glittering marble floors of Nordstrom’s flagship store in New York City. While I hate to be biased because there are so many good Nordstrom locations around the world, I have to say there’s something particularly magical about the store in Manhattan. Maybe because it has seven floors and six restaurants, or maybe because there’s an entire floor dedicated to what I love most: designer shoes.
Setting foot on this floor in Nordstrom is like going to heaven for a shoe fanatic. There’s something divine everywhere—lots of Fendi, Gucci, Prada, and Christian Louboutin shoes. While I was just trying to stare at the shoes that evening, I convinced myself that I Have to come back and really try a few.
