While I truly believe that anyone can wear anything as long as they feel comfortable doing so, small doesn’t offer its own set of unique dressing challenges. That doesn’t mean anything is off-limits. Still, as a 5’3″ fashion editor who has also helped countless other petite women hone their aesthetic, I know it’s not easy to copy and paste every trend into our frames—at least not without considering adding a little. Usually, I would reach out to my little followers on Instagram and ask them if they could use some trending style suggestions or pieces. Their latest claim? Oversized blazer.
oversized Blazer is one of my favorite pieces to wear — at least for now. When they first started trending, I had to admit I was confused. I’m also pretty curvy with an hourglass figure, so I’ve spent the best part of my adult life wearing silhouettes that fit better or are somewhat slimmer for the reason that they are. more proportionate to my frame. However, I want nothing more than to add an oversized blazer to my wardrobe. So I ordered one, and I started costume assembly around it as soon as it arrives. Some work, some don’t, but it quickly becomes clear that petite people can wear oversized blazer as well as anyone else. And you know what? I have proof.
