With the existence of the almost perfect Harold Ramis Snake Day, it took a lot of work for the filmmaker to add another look to the endless time loop romantic comedy. But writer and director Max Barbakow went ahead and did it with palm stream, and the audience is grateful he did. Building on the original rules established in Snake Day, palm stream offers its own unique twist on the story. Instead of one person (Billy Murray’s Phil Conners) being slowly pushed to the brink of insanity because he’s the only one who seems to be experiencing the phenomenon, palm stream sees three wedding guests—Nyles (Andy Samberg), Sarah (Cristin Milioti) and Roy (JK Simmons)—live the same day over and over again and work together to find a way out of it.

Dever makes up for more than 400 years of lost time as she plots to win her man back in this fun and cumbersome period romantic comedy.

Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro) is a talk show host who wants to be a total believer who believes the only thing he needs to make it great is the blessing and support of Jerry Langford (Jerry Lewis ) like Johnny Carson… so he kidnapped him, with the goal of winning a few minutes on Jerry’s talk show. It is a fascinating, sometimes humorous, and sometimes bizarre exploration of mental illness—and a clear inspiration for Todd Phillips’ waggery (2019).

Seth Meyers and Evan Goldberg tapped into their own teenage friendship to write and produce what could be one of the most authentic teen films of its kind. As they prepare to graduate from high school and embark on their own path to college, close friends Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) have a party night with their classmates and have no regrets. Of course, things don’t go exactly as planned. In addition to introducing the world to some of the most talented people at the time rising in business, including Cera, Hill and Emma Stone, Very bad also contains what may be one of the funniest lines of the past 20 years: “Nobody has gotten a manual job in cargo shorts since ‘Nam!”
