1957 Chevy Corvette Super Sport
This Corvette is a piece of real history, whether you’re on the Escort, Chevys, American car or sports car Generally speaking. Tommy Ivo Showboat / Wagonmaster Dragster
Our next car is another time, but this one was commissioned by actor and rickshaw driver Tommy Ivo, also known as TV Tommy. The car was built in 1961 and what makes it so spectacular is the quartet of 401 cubic inches Buick V8 engine. Each parallel set drives a different axle, two motors for the front, two for the rear. According to Mecum, Ivo didn’t even drive the car much when he first got it, due to the fact that the show executives he was on at the time didn’t want him to die in a crash, and the fact that the NHRA won’t allow the car to compete.
When the car was initially produced, it had a different body on it and was called the Showboat. This Buick Sports Wagon was added in 1981 with the name Wagonmaster, not long before Ivo ended his racing career. Mecum is also selling a custom Ivo trailer suitable for the vehicle. The car is estimated to sell for between $150,000 and $200,000. The trailer is estimated at $75,000 to $100,000.
2002 Smart Crossblade
Our next car isn’t as fast as the other two, but it’s still pretty wild. It is a 2002 Smart Crossblade, which was a limited edition model that Smart actually sold to customers. The company produced 2,000 of them, and this is 1,232. It is even exempt from Imports of Displays and Displays, so it is legal to import into the US
