A 49ers fan was placed in a medically comatose state following an apparent car park beating during the NFC Championship Game at SoFi Stadium.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, Daniel Luna, owner of the Oakland restaurant, was fatally injured in the SoFi Stadium parking lot after police allege it was a beating. The report states that Luna was found by medical staff 30 minutes into the match.
A spokesman for SoFi Stadium declined to comment to the Times.

The Times reported that when Luna arrived at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, emergency room staff found injuries that led them to believe he had been assaulted. Inglewood Police Lieutenant Geoffrey Meeks told the Times that paramedics believe he was attacked on the upper body and face.
The Times reported that Luna still had his watch, wallet and phone after the attack. Meeks also told the newspaper that there is no word yet that he has been targeted for his fandom.
“We’re relying a lot on video to try to identify those involved,” he told the Times. “We won’t leave a stone overturned.”

Sunday’s match between two rivals NFC West is attended by a large number of 49 fans despite the Rams’ best efforts to limit visiting.
Before the game, Rams have changed their ticket policy to ensure that only people in the greater Los Angeles area can purchase tickets. However, the ticket resale service Expect lively seats that the attendees inside the SoFi Stadium will be 65% San Francisco fans and just 35% Los Angeles fans.

Sunday’s incident is similar to one in 2011, when San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow was injured on Opening Day outside Dodger Stadium.
Stow suffered brain damage following the incident, and both of his attackers, Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood, were convicted for the assault.
