I know it sounds weird, but gift cards always stress me out. See, they constantly remind me to buy something I don’t need in the first place, and worse, I always ends up spending more (sometimes more) than the actual credit amount. On the other hand, when I try to avoid falling victim to this trap, I find myself sitting on the cards for months, forgetting about them until they expire, or worse, I lose them. That brings me to today’s task.
Back in 2021, I was given a very generous $200 gift card for Shopbop that, so far, has not been affected. (Fortunately, this one never expires.) It wasn’t until after I added more than 50 entries my shopping cart in what is supposed to be a regular online shopping last week that i remember i had it. So, in an effort to actually use my gift card and not go over my $200 limit, I decided to cut everything from the cart beyond it and collect all the remaining worthy picks. back in my budget.
