2024 Honda Vario 125 Scooter Gets Four New Colours for Malaysia – Priced at RM7,268, Available in Showrooms Aug 17
New colours for the 2024 Honda Vario 125 scooter in Malaysia, with a suggested retail price of RM7,268, excluding road tax, insurance and registration. Compare with Vario 125 price in 2023 priced at RM7,080 and comes with a two-year or 20,000km warranty against manufacturing defects.
The four new colours for the Vario 125 in Malaysia are Magenta, Black, Silver and Red, replacing last year’s Yellow, Blue and Red. The Vario 125 is expected to be available at all authorised Implant X and Boon Siew Honda dealers starting August 17.
Certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV), the Vario 125 is powered by a 124.9 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine. Honda says the Vario 125 is capable of producing 11.5 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 11.74 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Power is transmitted from the engine to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox and belt drive while the Vario 125 is rated three stars Malaysian Motorcycle Assessment Programme (MyMAP) Review. The wheel size on the Vario 125 is 14 inches, with 90/80 tires in the front and 100/80 rubber tires in the rear.
Despite not having ABS, the Vario gets hydraulic disc brakes up front and mechanical drum brakes at the rear with Honda’s combined braking system. Suspension is done with conventional telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Riding comfort on the Vario 125 includes a smart key for keyless entry with anti-theft alarm, vehicle answering and idle stop-start. Other amenities include an 18-litre under-seat storage compartment, a USB charging port in the front hood, a parking brake and an LCD instrument panel with LEDs used all over.
The Vario 125 holds 5.5 litres of fuel in the tank with a listed weight of 112 kg. The seat height on the Vario 125 is set at 769 mm.
