2024 GWM Ora 07 Performance EV – 408 PS/680 Nm, 483 km WLTP range; to Malaysia this month
Great Wall Motor Malaysia has announced that the Ora 07 Performance electric vehicle will be available in the country later this month, after Launched the Malaysian market Ora 07 in April this year.
Priced at RM189,800 excluding on-road costs, the Ora 07 Performance is the more powerful of the two variants, the other being the Ora 07 Long Range priced at RM169,800.
The Ora 07 Performance features a dual-motor electric powertrain for four-wheel drive, with 408 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque, allowing a claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4 .3 seconds and a maximum speed of 180 km/h. . Its 83.5 kWh battery pack provides a range of up to 483 km according to WLTP testing standards.
Matching the Long Range variant on the Performance is fast charging capability, both can DC charge up to 88 kW, requiring 32 minutes to reach a 30% to 80% state of charge. Meanwhile, this vehicle model also uses an AC charger of up to 11 kW, requiring a charging time of 15 hours and vice versa, the power source from vehicle to load (V2L) is up to 3.3 kW.
The wheels are 19-inch units with a 5-oval design on the Ora 07 Performance, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires measuring 235/45R19 front and rear. The higher power variant is also indicated by red brake calipers.
Inside, the Ora 07 features a hooded digital dashboard that houses a 10.25-inch display, while infotainment is provided by a 12.3-inch central display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without wire. To charge mobile devices, there is a Qi wireless charging pad.
Other amenities include keyless entry and start, head-up display, electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage function, ambient lighting with rhythm mode suitable for the music playing, Infinity sound system with 11 speakers, 360 sound system – camera system and hands-free trunk lid.
Safety features on the Ora 07 include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, lane centering assist, an Intelligent Avoidance system that allows for more space on the lane for large vehicles such as trucks, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, traffic sign recognition, parking assist and automatic headlights.
The brown leather interior pictured is exclusive to the Performance variant, however, buyers of the single-engine Long Range variant (black is standard) can upgrade to this upholstery for a cost of RM2,500. The GWM Ora 07 Performance, as well as the Long Range variant, is covered by a 6-year, 150,000km warranty, with an 8-year, 180,000km warranty covering the battery and drive motor.
