The 2022 Subaru WRX has been completely redesigned with a new chassis, styling and a larger 2.4-liter turbocharged engine. And with all those upgrades, the new price is higher. Basic User Manual WRX now starts at $30,100 including destination fees. That’s a $1,680 increase over last year’s model. Base prices for the entire range are listed below.

- Premium WRX: $32,600
- WRX Limited: $36,990
- WRX GT: $43,890
The base model comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual 7-inch screens for the infotainment and climate control systems. Unlike last year, the base model is available with CVT, Subaru called “Subaru Performance Transmission.” Add it also add EyeSight including auto emergency feature brake and adaptive cruise control with lane centering.
The WRX Premium gets 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, a matching rear spoiler, and automatic headlights on the outside. Inside, the car is equipped with distance locking with push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, heated mirrors, rain wipers and an 11.6-inch infotainment screen. The CVT version has an additional transmission oil cooler on the base CVT version.
Up to the Limited version, it has turn signals and adaptive headlights that curve for the exterior. Interior upgrades include Ultrasuede upholstery, 10-way power driver’s seat, 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and sunroof. Blind-spot monitoring and navigation are also included, and the CVT version features automatic emergency braking when reversing.
The most advanced version is the GT, and the features it adds on previous versions are adaptive damping and customizable driving modes. It also has Recaro front seats and unique wheels. But this trim is only available with CVT.
