The 2022 Presidents Cup continues this week in Charlotte with the United States showing its might as it tries to win its ninth consecutive trophy since 2005. The Americans are trying to win their fifth consecutive President’s Cup. at home, while the Internationals look for their first win since 1998 (or perhaps at least their first since 2003).

The US is a strong contender heading into this year’s event at Quail Hollow Golf Club, and their confidence in victory only skyrocketed after the game on Thursday and Friday as the Americans took a big 8 advantage. -2. Not only is the USA strong from top to bottom, the International team also doesn’t have many of their top players as some have chosen to play for LIV Golf, making them ineligible for this head-to-head event.

However, there is still a lot of potential for the International team, which could cause a huge disappointment if things go their own way. And that effort will need to start Friday in four-ball, a style in which the Internationals have largely kept pace with the United States despite struggling to compete recently.

Since the Presidents Cup actually has more games than the Ryder Cup, that setup fits perfectly with Davis Love III’s 12th team. History is also not kind to yellow and black. Although they have won and drawn on the international stage, the US is still a perfect seven for seven within its borders. Only one of those events came closer than the three-point margin, and that was back in 1996 when a team of Corey Pavin and Mark O’Meara overtook the international team, 16.5-15.5.
