11 Holiday Outfits A Fashion Editor Swears By

The last time I went on a “real” vacation — the kind where you completely unplug and don’t look at a screen even once — was about two years ago, so it’s a long way off. Hence why as soon as I catch a cheap flight to Italy I jump right into it before I even have time to second guess myself. Through some talent, I was also able to fit a small getaway to Santorini and Copenhagen while in Italy. Before I knew it, a two-week vacation was born.

This is my longest vacation to date, and while great, a two-week trip also means a lot of outfits. You have to pack strategically. Thankfully, I live to prepare for the holidays, so I carefully plan my outfit weeks in advance. In keeping with the romantic Italian landscape and architecture, I know I want pieces that evoke a La Dolce Vita feeling, but with a bit of an edge. Bright colors and statement prints are also on my mood board, so some shades of orange, blue, and green end up making my suitcase. In the end I was able to fit around 16 outfits, five swimsuits, and five pairs of shoes in my Tumi suitcase (I highly recommend it for fashionistas), so My book has been a success.
